David Rae has left Financial Director to become editor and editorial director at European Leaders in Procurement. Rae’s empty chair has been filled by Melanie Stern.

James Clasper has vacated the position of Editor at Global Competition Review to pursue a career as a public affairs consultant. Assistant editor David Vascott has now taken his place as editor.

Scott Bicheno has joined HEXUS Media as editor of HEXUS channel, a new part of the HEXUS site aimed at channel and resellers and VARs in technology. Bicheno joins from Intent Media's PC Retail.

Former features editor, Soheb Panja, has moved up at Mobile magazine to managing editor. Elina Mattila has replaced her, joining the team from Informa.

Nick Whitten has joined Mobile from the Newcastle Evening Chronicle taking the post of news editor.

Chris Illman has also joined Mobile as reporter following the departure of Natasha Vuckovic, who returned to Australia at the end of December.

European Lawyer’s Paul Stewart has left his position of editorial assistant to join the team at LexisNexis. His replacement has not yet been found.

Janice McGinn has left the post of editor at CIO magazine. Mark Chillingworth replaces her from Information World Review which he left last year. The magazine has taken on Peter Williams as editor.

Dennis Publishing's Computer Shopper has promoted Jim Martin from reviews to deputy editor. Staff writer Matt Smith has left the title leaving an empty post.

PC Retail has hired Abdul Montaqim as editor following the departure of Scott Bicheno.

Andy McCue has made deputy editor at Silicon. McCue will now take a firmer hand on the news agenda while managing the reporting team.

Christina Papas has joined the CIM’s ‘The Marketer’ magazine as deputy editor moving from Haymarket's Planning.

Nick Golding has been made news editor at Local Government Chronicle (LGC).

Financial Adviser is losing chief reporter, Christopher Marshall. Marshall is leaving to join Citywire as insurance correspondent on 4 February.

Elliot Smither has been promoted to the role of chief sub editor at FT Mandate.
Smither replaces Paul Clarke, who left the position in October last year.

PC Pro has appointed Jon Bray as deputy reviews editor. Bray will oversee PC Pro’s reviews section following the departure of Dave Stevenson.

Staff writer, Nicole Kobie, has been appointed section editor of PC Pro and Asavin Wattanajantra joins as staff writer, covering general news and features.

Legal Week magazine will lose its news editor in February. Paul Hodkinson, leaving on 11 February, will take the position of news editor at Private Equity News. A replacement has not yet been named.

CRN has appointed Sam Trendall as a reporter. Trendall joins fresh out of university.

Accountancy Age has appointed Kevin Reed as acting features editor while Rachel Fielding is on maternity leave.

The FT's New York bureau chief, David Wighton, has been appointed business and city editor at The Times following the promotion of James Harding to Editor.

John Wellman, home editor at the FT, has been appointed deputy head of news.

Jeremy Griffin, deputy sports editor at the FT, has been appointed assistant head of online news, taking responsibility for all online news coverage.

Jason Singer has left the Wall Street Journal European edition. Singer’s replacement joins from the New York bureau in February.

Ed Taylor is also moving from his position of WSJ European banking reporter to work as automotive reporter for the European, U.S and Asian editions of the paper.

Thelondonpaper has appointed Mark Wilkinson as news editor. Wilkinson joins from the Standard. Deputy editor Bridget Harrison has left to have a baby.

The Evening Standard has promoted Sam Lyon to the role of night news editor. Health correspondent Amy Iggulden will be acting assistant news editor after Mark Wilkinson recently left the paper.

Chief political correspondent Jason Beattie has left the Evening Standard to join the Daily Mirror as deputy political editor.

The Times executive editor Keith Blackmore has been appointed deputy editor succeeding Ben Preston who is now editor of International Editions of The Times.

Roland Watson, previously Times foreign editor, has been promoted to head of news.

News of the World has launched a new money column with MoneySavingExpert.com's Martin Lewis, the fortnightly column will dole out money saving tips for readers.

Times online editor, Brigid Callaghan, has been made editor of Times Mobile, developing news and features on mobile platforms.

Sarah Spikes has left her beat covering UK investment banks and mid-market M&A, to join Arden Partners as a financial analyst.

Frankfurt correspondent Ivar Simensen has also left to join Aker ASA. James Wilson, currently Northern correspondent, has taken his place.

Adam Jones, Paris correspondent, has moved to the London office to develop FT.com's business education section as online business education editor.

Former economics correspondent for the FT, Scheherazade Daneshkhu has left for Paris to replace Jones.

The Mail on Sunday has relaunched to include two new sections alongside its existing two magazines, Live and You. The ‘Mail on Sunday 2’, will contain more features and will be colour coded and divided into reviews, health, property, travel, the critics and an expanded puzzle section called Brain Workout.

Jane Merrick, political reporter at the Daily Mail, is leaving to join the Independent on Sunday as political editor.

Oonagh Blackman, previously political editor at the Daily Mirror has been appointed as an advisor on political and communications strategy to the Northern Ireland secretary.

Jim Pickard, formerly property correspondent at the Financial Times, is now UK political correspondent. He replaces Chris Adams who was appointed lead writer at the FT.

Norma Cohen, previously senior companies reporter, UK companies desk at the FT, is now economics correspondent, replacing Scheherazade Daneshkhu.

Elizabeth Colman, personal finance reporter at The Times has left to join The Sunday Times’ money section.

Grainne Gilmore, deputy personal finance editor at The Times, has been appointed economics correspondent.

Ted Verity is returning from Ireland to London after four years to take up the reigns at the Mail on Sunday as executive editor.

Karen Dempsey has taken up the post of editor of the Times Educational Supplement (TES). Dempsey joined the supplement in the New Year from her previous post as editor of Personnel Today.

Pádraig Floyd has been promoted to editor in chief of the Financial Times Business Pensions & Investment Group of titles.

Nic Fildes, a reporter at The Independent, covering telecoms and technology sectors, has left to travel for a year.

Nick Clark, previously a market reporter at The Independent, is now a City reporter at the paper. Nikhil Kumar has replaced Clark as market reporter.

Simon Evans, formerly a business reporter at The Independent on Sunday, has been promoted to deputy business editor. Evans will continue to cover financials, insurance and hedge funds.

The Daily Mail has recruited Anne Shooter as commissioning editor for its Femail section.
