Media Relations
As the name would suggest, media relations is about having good relations with target press, but it's more than that. It's about having an innate understanding of what the press want, when they want it and how they want it. It's also about being able to relate stories to them - succinctly and clearly.
Buffalo's communications consultants are experts at all levels.
-
We network and entertain journalists to the point that we count many as friends. Even our newest recruits are tasked with wining and dining at least one journalist a month to ensure they quickly build up their contact databases.
-
We regularly survey press requirements and constantly speak with them about their likes and dislikes. We refuse to work as a press release factory for clients and never call around a journalist to find out if they received our releases, as we know they hate both these approaches. Instead we read what they write and make direct tailored approaches that they can easily work with.
-
We love to tell a story - and are constantly on the phone doing just that. We do not hide behind a computer screen firing out unsolicited emails that are rarely read.
