Our dos and don'ts

Buffalo offers integrated communications, media relations and marketing services. Combined, we have more years than we care to mention dealing with journalists, putting story packages together, grooming company spokespeople, managing events, copywriting, managing award submissions, etc. And we love it.

However, having done it for years, we really know what works and what doesn't. So in a nutshell, this is what you can expect Buffalo to do and not do:

Dos

We use the phone as our first port of communication - not email

We make issues central to our communications campaigns

We always adhere to the deadlines we set

We always confirm attendance to events the day before to minimise no-shows

We deliver meeting reports normally within 24 hours and always within 48 hours

Provide tight QC on copywriting

Don'ts

We don't bother press with irrelevant stories - we know their titles

We don't ask press if they've received our press releases

We don't waste client time with cumbersome reporting on actions completed, preferring to report on tangible deliverables

We don't delegate account handling to juniors

We don't have a pitch team

We don't wait to be asked, we propose

We don't work insularly. We integrate and repurpose
